About the Clerkship
Explore the breadth of family medicine and its role in community health.
The Family Medicine Clerkship at the Foster School of Medicine offers medical students a supportive environment in which to explore the breadth of family medicine and its role in community health. The clerkship team mentors students throughout their rotation and provides the guidance, structure and resources needed to succeed.
The program emphasizes a well-designed curriculum, thoughtful student advising and strong partnerships with community-based preceptors who demonstrate the scope of family medicine across diverse practice settings.
Students completing the rotation gain exposure to the principles of family medicine, opportunities to learn from practicing clinicians and a structured foundation that supports their academic and professional growth.
