After residency, Dr. Parsa practiced emergency medicine on California's central coast for several years. Before relocating to El Paso to join our department as clerkship director
Dr. Michael Parsa served in Papua New Guinea for three years with PIONEERS International, providing medical care to villagers in remote swamps and jungles. In this picture, he is treating a patient suffering from envenomation by a death adder, one of the world's deadliest snakes. He has taken a keen interest in El Paso's first medical school and is involved in the development and implementation of the curriculum. Dr. Parsa loves working with our fourth year medical students and takes pride in offering a challenging, rewarding clerkship for those interested in EM. Dr. Parsa is married to Jennifer, a pediatrician, and they home school their two school age children.
