Something you would never guess about me: When I was kid, I was so afraid of the drive-in car washes. I always had to go to
the little shop and wait until the car wash ended.
Why you chose TTUHSC El Paso: Definitely, the people. During my first encounter at TTUHSC El Paso, I saw nothing
but the warm hospitality and kindness embodied by the residents and the faculty. I
felt a true spirit of family, camaraderie and uplifting support among the residents,
administrative staff and faculty, and I honestly would love to be part of it and extremely
glad I am now.

Something you would never guess about me:: I love to watch cooking shows even though I'm a terrible cook. Then I pretend to
host a cooking show when I try out a recipe.
Why you chose TTUHSC El Paso: I grew up in El Paso and have always wanted to serve our population. I love El Paso!

One person I would like to meet is: Soraya. She was an American-Colombian singer, songwriter, and guitarist. She was
an advocate of breast cancer support and education, especially for Hispanic women.
Her songs reflected her struggles, beliefs, and love for life.
Something you would never guess about me: I love bears and everything related to them. They are extraordinarily intelligent
animals, they care about family members, they are playful, and they are very strong
while they look cute at the same time! My favorites are Grizzly and Spirit bears.
Why you chose TTUHSC El Paso: Because the program serves a very diverse patient population including patients from
my home country. In addition, it offers the great opportunity to learn from an outstanding
faculty about challenging cases and pathologies that are unique to a border region.

to serve the population of a border town which is similar to the town I grew up.

Why you chose TTUHSC El Paso: When I visited the program for the interview it really felt like home, everyone was
very welcoming and friendly. It is a very diverse program, which I love because you
get to meet people from around the world and learn about different cultures. It is
a great environment to work in and everyone is willing to help and teach you.

But I want to keep my options open and walk through my first year of residency and
